Personal hashtags are a great way to build social engagement and community for lifestyle brands. One Kings Lane has over 619K followers on Instagram, with their own #MYOKLSTYLE that allows members from their community share their top designer homes and interior spaces from the OKL collection. The #MYOKLSTLE has over 56K hashtagged posts.
My role: UX design, UI design, product design, product management
Responsibilities: to maintain user engagement and improve retention so that the OKL community highlights interior designers, while also sharing which products were used in their Instagram post.
(This allows a user to see their social media post as their account is tagged and pulled in through their #MYOKLSTYLE from the UGC content, while also identifying which products were used and featured in their post).
What this does:
• Promotes community involvement so that interior designers can share their work
• Develops cohesion among products to increase visibility and lifestyle brand awareness
• Markets products from the One Kings Lane collection to increase sales and provide social context
